School stuff, coloring & activity sheets, miscellaneous uses in craft projects. Way cheaper than an iPad per kid, and some of them (strongly) prefer paper activities to their digital equivalents. A printer's easily one of the most-useful devices in our house, mostly for kids, but also for crafts that we parents do.
