Most of "procedures" i see is a waste. I would just do a pair programming session to explain all the design patterns being in used. THen let the new hires hack

Most of "procedures" i see is a waste. I would just do a pair programming session to explain all the design patterns being in used. THen let the new hires hack on exisiting/new features. The onboarding is a failure if you can't help new hires get productivity quickly.
