Solid state, active cooling system

- MichaelZuo 3y ago10.75 W sustained heat removal at a constant 85C for the bigger version isn't that impressive. Even the M2 could easily draw and produce 30+ W of heat at full load. The best use case may be ultra thin devices without enough room for a fan, not as a fan replacement.
- rsynnott 3y ago> Even the M2 could easily draw and produce 30+ W of heat at full load. If they're operating at 30W sustained they're in trouble anyway; that would imply a battery life of probably about an hour.
- MichaelZuo 3y agoWell, even at 11W, it'd be unusuable past 10-15 minutes as the entire device will have heated up to a constant 85C, and rising.
- rowanG077 3y agoA fan is only a part of the thermal system. I would assume that quoted 10.5W is purely the frore system. Not the entire dissipation of a product. I'm still very skeptical of this product.
- MichaelZuo 3y ago'the frore system'?
- rowanG077 3y agoThe solid state cooling system the company called Frore Systems produces. The product we were talking about.
- MichaelZuo 3y agoThe product is called "AirJet" or some variation.
