Not got the intelligence part nailed. But a significant piece of the generally-useful robot puzzle. Haptic (remote person who can see and even feel) operation currently but working on it. Whether or not they master independent operation, still a useful design as a remote operator could be used to navigate bots to tasks, then set them to do the rote stuff (currently capable of that) and move on to another one. Imagine one expert tele-operator deploying a whole assembly line worth of bots each shift, then spending the day monitoring them and getting them out of trouble (stop and adjust a machine; pick up a box that got away; reload a nail gun etc). A bright future for automation taking every scrap of labor from humans! Now we just have to figure out how to respond to that economically and socially.
