Copyright holders would still track the IPs that these shards are coming from and sue/threaten them for copyright infringement. 5 seconds of Mulan compressed and sitting in isolation is still illegal to distribute

- etskinner 3y agoIt's fine to use small snippets, but it specifically has to be for commentary, satire, derivative works, etc. The term you're looking for is 'fair use'
- whamlastxmas 3y agoWhich is still infringement technically, fair use is a defense for infringement
