I think you also overestimate the formality in CPU design. Yes they do a lot of testing, but it's not lik an airtight mathematical document for the whole chip.

- mumblingdrunk 3y agoThis reminds me of an article I read a while ago https://alastairreid.github.io/mrs-at-scale/ https://alastairreid.github.io/mrs-at-scale/ MRSs would enable much more of the formal verification parts to be generated.
