Edible specifically means, per https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/edible https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/edible , "something that is suitable or safe to eat". If you could only eat it once, it wasn't edible. (Also, what's even your point? Dandelions are actually edible.)
