We're rebuilding our web stack on Lit and it's noticeably faster
- shantnutiwari 3y agoThis is CTO of Reddit, saying they are moving from React to Lit because react is too slow
- rektide 3y agoIt's exhausting & tiring hearing such absolutist statements. Reddit is slow because it spends forever and ever waiting around pulling in data. Open DevTools, it's obvious. React isn't what made reddit slow; their shit fire data-archicture makes it awful. People will also find ways to use Lit poorly too. We tend to judge each site as too strong an indicator of what the fundamentals of the framework really are. Slack in general is just a demon, has brought shame to the name Electron.
