- lormayna 3y agoNothing, but it's just add a complex layer to something that every developer can do by himself with a bit of conventions. The company was developing software mainly in Python, so writing a virtualenv (no docker at that time) and a script to deploy it was the simpler way to deploy it. No need to overcomplicate things and waste resources.
