Pretty cool UI, I'm jelly. Has anyone used this 'iced' GUI library; is it anywhere near mature? I like my libraries older than my wine.

  It's new. All the Rust GUI libraries are new and the community is still experimenting with different ideas to find the best architecture.

    How could be anything other than new... It's Rust. It's not going to be from 1975 because it can't be.

    It’s surprisingly hard for me to tell if this is sarcastic or not. I can imagine both ways: 1. “People implement major things in it, it’s mature, obviously.” 2. “People have implemented these things, but it requires care/attention/hacks that wouldn’t be required in a mature framework.”

      I don't think it's sarcastic. COSMIC is still early in development and they're contributing upstream to Iced to improve it. And as the Iced repo[1] itself says, "Iced is currently experimental software". 1: https://github.com/iced-rs/iced https://github.com/iced-rs/iced

        Yeah that's exactly it, they're aiming for a 2024 release, and due to the nature of that being in the future, it's unclear both whether they will make that, and how stable/mature that first release will be. So my link demonstrates that someone is using it, not that it's mature.
