I see literally more ads on my iphone than I see on my Google Pixel, and it is one of Apple's fastest growing sources of revenue.
- m3kw9 3y agoAds don’t matter unless they are intrusive. Most part Apple does well, but Apple News is the worst

- dwaite 3y agoWhat part of that isn't a legitimate and valid warning? I've had multiple relatives with broken/stolen phones who lost very important photos because they were no longer being backed up. You can always turn iCloud backup off if you think notices that the feature is failing are annoying, but the notices themselves are hardly misleading.
- foobarian 3y agoI'm sure the CTA to pay for upgraded storage included in that warning is just a convenient coincidence, eh. I don't like the dark-patterness of it - it feels like blackmail.
- howinteresting 3y agolmao is this the newest excuse? Ads don't matter because it's Apple who runs them?
