I'm still impressed by 64 core Genoa. It is 1.7x the total performance (cores * clock rate * IPC) compared to 64 core Milan in the table presented. That's not even two years apart. I know the die sizes didn't decrease much, around 10% or so. And R&D increase is surely surpassing inflation.
