My favourite is that giving in and clicking the “open in app” banners on Reddit etc just take me to the App Store page for Reddit, even though I have the actual app installed already.
- ChadNauseam 3y agoYou have to long-press on the link and press 'Open in "Reddit"'. Not sure why.
- Forgeties79 3y agoPardon my ignorance but I sort of assumed that was reddit's fault because I can't name a single other site/service I use that does that. I guess that's not the case?
- pavitheran 3y agoI have the same problem with Youtube links. Doesn't seem like a reddit only issue.
- somehnguy 3y agoI have no issue with links opening directly into the YouTube app.
- csmiller 3y agoi think it might do that when the app has an update pending?
- dfinninger 3y agoApollo just auto-redirects to the app for me. Maybe it’s an issue with the official Reddit app or a config value somewhere?
- aci_12 3y agoIf you long press `open in app`, then it shows `open reddit` and that solves it
