The page here has a good overview of Peritext: https://www.inkandswitch.com/peritext/ https://www.inkandswitch.com/peritext/
It's a separate project from the leading academics in CRDTs. It does what is claimed.
- xpe 3y agoIn reading your comment, I don’t see the connection to my concerns about intent. This leaves open the question of “is it worth clicking?” In this case it was, so thank you. Here is the quote: > Before we can implement an algorithm to perform this automatic merge, we first need to define a clear model for user intent, and define the expected results when concurrent edits are merged. In this section we develop such a model through a series of examples. I only go to the trouble of mentioning this to help remind people that it is a win-win to make a clear connection when commenting. In this case, simply saying “This link talks about intent in detail” would have worked.
- samwillis 3y agoAgreed, apologies for that. In this case, and I'm not joking, my wife called me through as she had just put dinner was on the table, clearly that took priority. So I hit send before adding any more context or comment, which I would otherwise have done. I'm pleased you clicked, that page is such a brilliant overview of CRDTs, rich text editing with them and capturing intent.
