It’s kinda straightforward forward that without cutting greenhouse gas emissions any five year period for the foreseeable future will be record-breaking, right?
And even if we were cutting down emission to zero today, we would still get a warmer planet for the next 10-100 years or so. Because that’s the natural rate for greenhouse gas removal from the atmosphere.
On top of all that, humans have already committed to long-term warming and it’s consequences. Carbon is forever and reversing climate change is a very slow process.
