This year there's a good chance we will see the El Niño weather event, which has a warming effect on the global temperatures. Just recently we had the opposite cooling La Niña event, so I'm really not looking forward to how hot it will be this Summer. Edit: just to be clear, not trying to dismiss the effects of climate change here. Rather, I'm thinking El Niño combined with thus far accumulated CC is not going to be pretty.
