Sort of off topic but I’ve noticed that when push comes to shove a lot of people are very resistant to the notion that the road to hell is paved with good intentions. The implication being: just because you have good intentions, or because you feel the positivity in your heart, doesn’t mean you’re actually doing good. “But surely”, we all think, “that applies to other people, not me. I would know.”
