Achieving full stack Kubernetes visibility
- rubenv 3y agoLooks interesting! It's open-source yet VC funded, what's the (planned) business model?
- CSDude 3y agoSame with all, offer hosted version as well, let the community fix bugs for you, restrict the license 3 years later when enough transaction is there. There are only a handful examples of companies that did not go this way.
- robertlagrant 3y agoI find it interesting that this is targeting IT teams, when DevOps/infrastructure engineers IME are much more likely to be running apps on Kubernetes. Am I an outlier?
- withinboredom 3y agoI think it depends on the industry. If you're enterprise and not a tech company, DevOps and IT are inter-changable for the majority of the company. If you are a tech company, IT is meaningless.
- robertlagrant 3y agoWell, tech companies use IT, but it means email, IT equipment, logins, VPNs.
- withinboredom 3y agoThe entire company is IT lol.
- namaria 3y agoI have been going to local k8s events for a couple or years (major western europe metro area) and there is no end in sight of this kind of sales pitch: "Is your cluster complexity getting out of hand? Here, extend it with these CRDs, multiple apps and nested helm charts. You get to stare at this cute screen, doesn't it look simple with all the icons in a flat view? Also single glass pane!" Amazes me... Not to mention the eternal promises to solve all your organizational woes if you just adopt this one more tool.
