I, for one, don't want a voice cloner in every hand. These things are very, very destructive. Obviously, this is a post about a new apple feature (even though great voice cloning has existed for months) so all the fanboys are unable to control their enthusiasm.

- MagicMoonlight 3y agoThe printing press is destructive if you rely on pieces of paper proving the king gave you powers… You just need better authentication that doesn’t rely purely on voice.
- precompute 3y agoExcept the printing press never was as versatile as handwriting. Even computers aren't yet. "Better auth" always means more surveillance.
