Musk’s Pick for Twitter CEO and the Glass Cliff Debate
- latexr 3y ago> Her position at Twitter is precarious, and she has taken a risk to lead the organization. That would be true of anyone at the company's helm, regardless of gender. What’s the risk? I’m genuinely asking. From the outside it seems like these CEOs are appointed to struggling companies, make obscene amounts of money, then eventually get replaced while somehow making even more money in the process. Then they get hired somewhere else if they want to. Considering any of these stints makes CEOs richer than one ever needs to be for multiple lifetimes, what’s the risk in taking the job? That some random person online will complain they’re doing a bad job?
