There is always a question of what is acceptable. My current employer seems to employ wide range of scanning, but it seems to mostly targeted at ensuring there is no 'data leakage'. All I can tell you for sure is that JPM is off my potential employer list although admittedly that is partly because compared to other peers its pay does not even begin to offset that level of intrusion.
