Did Twitter pricing reduce it's bot spam?
- NicoJuicy 3y agoBasic = free: no read API anymore and only write. Even the 100$ tier has a 10 k. / Month read limit... Is it possible that they reduced botspam because of pricing?
- uberman 3y agoIf the goal was to reduce bots, then one would limit write access rather than read access. The limits are in place to force users into a twitter read experience where they can be monetized. It has nothing to do with bots.
- NicoJuicy 3y agoThat's totally different from what I was thinking. Propaganda bot spam replies to popular comments. Without read access it's not parsed easily. Write is required for syncing eg. Legit content ( eg. When a new blog post is created) - this is useful bot content and not "spam", since it's picked up by the algorithm/followers.
