Laptop speakers when you try to drive them without any temperature protection
- rektide 3y ago65C in a dozen seconds. I wonder if it would be helpful to add heat pipe cooling to speakers? Are they producing useful sound while being driven like this?
- detaro 3y agoMarcan had some posts earlier this year about this from the work on linux for macbooks (and hints at it in the comments) - yes, it is useful to drive them that hard but can only be done for a short time, so the driver has to model that and cut back before it reaches damaging levels.
