could someone explain why people laugh when he sais he went by the lab that said "laboratory for experimental histology"?

  I know the transcript says "experimental histology", but I think he actually says was "experimental epistemology", which is a branch of philosophy dealing with the nature of knowledge—hence the laugh at "experimental".

    thanks that is also the only thing that makes sense, i just could not hear it after being primed by the transcript

      Technically "histology"—the microscopic study of tissues—also makes sense in the context of the lab (studying neurons), but it would be far less funny of a joke.
