- mint2 3y agoMpox showed signs of being a serious issue and did impact a significant number of people. No need to be dismissive. It’s not just like we were in year two of a global pandemic altering all the norms when that new mpox popped up is it?

- GenerocUsername 3y agoAlso statistically far more widespread in specific demographics. Absolute numbers even things out, but per-capita, indexed on specific communities still has whole number multipliers
- mint2 3y agoReferring to normal Americans in this context as “protected communities” and in a way that’s very dismissive says a lot about insecurity and insular views.
- GenerocUsername 3y agoPretty sure the quoted region is a legal classification, and the only reasonable justification for the media to avoid the clarification. Any other interpretation leads to malicious clickbait
