A fun thing happens if you ever look at international health insurance plans. Usually there are 2 plans. One covering the whole world and one covering the whole world minus the United States which costs literally half as much. I’m not claiming executive bonuses are the reason US healthcare costs multiple times more than healthcare in any other country in the world, but the economics of the system are fundamentally broken in a way that is unique to the United States.
