Denisova Cave should be a sacred place fo Russia's top brass (such as international affairs minister Sergei Lavrov or MoD Sergei Shoigu) since it gave birth to a mystery meat specimen whose mother was a Neanderthal and father was a Denosovian.

Denny is an exceptional specimen, but not an exceptional individual, even ignoring it there is overwhelming evidence of interbreeding between human species (not least of which is Neanderthal mitochondrial and Y chromosome DNA being entirely AMH).
- thriftwy 3y agoShe is exceptional to us, because she's the first one we discovered directly. There is obviously no logic why one human won't marry another one and have children. But the context is funny because with Lavrov we still can't figure who were to have him.
