Along side that people used to think lightnings were created by supra-natural beings, or that steam engines were the devil. Some even thought they saw human faces on mars. Similarly some now think algorithms and software are human like. Soon they will treat them as gods. A real strange world we live in, where a company promoting its product is using conspiracy theory level marketing and millions of people fall for it. Dangerous times ahead and it’s not due to a piece of software but due to the readiness of some people to believe everything they are told about anything they dont understand.
