I’d be shocked if they don’t have 10k loc devoted to the status indicator alone. It’s cross user-facing service, cross platform, and notoriously unreliable enough to be a convenient excuse for social inaction (not that I’d know anything about that /s).

That is probably mostly handled by a backend service. Client code should be minimal
