- WhereIsTheTruth 3y agoIt's quite common for companies that deal with sensitive data to be absorbed or infiltrated by government agencies, that's what happened to Google, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram for example, including SWIFT, so i wouldn't be surprised if the same happened to TikTok: https://qz.com/1145669/googles-true-origin-partly-lies-in-cia-and-nsa-research-grants-for-mass-surveillance https://qz.com/1145669/googles-true-origin-partly-lies-in-ci... https://www.nbcnews.com/id/wbna45164661 https://www.nbcnews.com/id/wbna45164661 https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11562433/Facebook-riddled-ex-CIA-agents-ex-FBI-agents-work-Twitter.html https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11562433/Facebook-r... https://www.spiegel.de/international/world/how-the-nsa-spies-on-international-bank-transactions-a-922430.html https://www.spiegel.de/international/world/how-the-nsa-spies...
- relativ575 3y agoInfiltrated? China has always openly pushed for the presence of CCP organization in business, state-owned definitely and more and more private ones - [1] the CCP Constitution outlines more specific powers for party organizations within companies. It calls for party organizations to be formed in any company that has three or more party members. For SOEs [State Owned Enterprise], party organizations should “participate in making decisions on major questions in the enterprises.” The CCP Constitution sets a lower bar for party organizations within private enterprises, stating that they should “guide and oversee their enterprises’ observance of state laws and regulation.” The article cited the example of Xiaomi, but of course it's the same deal with any other major companies, especially those doing substantial international business.
