And then he calls the people who call him out on it pedophiles.
- nailer 3y agoHe called one specific british man living in a specific part of Thailand a paedophile
- Larrikin 3y agoAre you saying it's ok to call someone you're arguing with on the internet a pedophile with no evidence, if it's just one British person living in Thailand? What point are you making? Edit: Looking at your post history, do you own a lot of SpaceX and Tesla stock? You do a lot of name calling to defend Elon, so your opinion defending one of the world's richest guys doesn't seem altruistic.
- nailer 3y agoAddressing your edit: 1. I have not called anyone names. That is also false. 2. All people deserve defending from untrue statements about them regardless of how wealthy they are, I'm not sure why anyone would think otherwise.
- nailer 3y ago> And then he calls the people who call him out on it pedophiles. > What point are you making? That your statement was inaccurate.
- d23 3y agoIt wasn't their statement, it was mine, and your response concedes that Musk did exactly that. I just can't wrap my head around this. How can you both concede the behavior and be perfectly fine with and defend it?
- nailer 3y ago[flagged]
- dang 3y agoCould you please stop posting unsubstantive comments and flamebait? You've unfortunately been doing it repeatedly. It's not what this site is for, and destroys what it is for, we've warned you many times before, and if you keep doing it we're going to have to ban you. If you'd please review https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html and stick to the rules when posting here, we'd appreciate it.
- nailer 3y agoDan it’s not flamebait. The person tried to falsely paint a single example of behaviour as a common thing. Unfortunately a lot of people seem to really hate Elon Musk, so “you’re right he only did this once but it was poor behaviour” turns into flagging anyone that points this out and then bringing up unrelated matters as an instance of whataboutism. We’ve had three or four discussions over the last 16 years, one I’m fairly sure you’d now think you were in the wrong, so I’m not sure why you would say this is common.
- dang 3y agoAsking someone "Do you understand plurals?" is an insulting way of calling them dumb. Personal insults are certainly flamebait and definitely not allowed here.
- nailer 3y agoOK fair enough. I did genuinely wonder how the parent did not understand that writing something happened multiple times when it happened once was untrue, but I should have used better language here.
