If Elon Musk (or one of his companies) cured cancer tomorrow a significant part of the population would find a way to hate him for it.
- Larrikin 3y agoThe more realistic outcome would be that Elon promises a cure for cancer is coming next year and repeats saying that every year until all of his competitors have caught up.
- danaris 3y ago...or he finds someone who's just about to find one, buys the rights from them to say that it was him, and then charges $millions a head for the cure.
- wilg 3y agoYes, because famously his competitors have caught up in rockets and electric cars.
- travisporter 3y agoSpaceX is just an amazing anomaly in every sense of the word. Tesla is nowhere near that.
- wilg 3y agoPoint is they’re ahead of the competitors on pretty much any metric you could point to.
- d23 3y agoAnd then he calls the people who call him out on it pedophiles.
- nailer 3y agoHe called one specific british man living in a specific part of Thailand a paedophile
- Larrikin 3y agoAre you saying it's ok to call someone you're arguing with on the internet a pedophile with no evidence, if it's just one British person living in Thailand? What point are you making? Edit: Looking at your post history, do you own a lot of SpaceX and Tesla stock? You do a lot of name calling to defend Elon, so your opinion defending one of the world's richest guys doesn't seem altruistic.
- nailer 3y agoAddressing your edit: 1. I have not called anyone names. That is also false. 2. All people deserve defending from untrue statements about them regardless of how wealthy they are, I'm not sure why anyone would think otherwise.
- nailer 3y ago> And then he calls the people who call him out on it pedophiles. > What point are you making? That your statement was inaccurate.
