Google Bard is blocked in all of continental Europe, EU status notwithstanding.
It is also blocked in:
- Serbia
- Switzerland
- Bosnia
- North Macedonia
- Norway
- Ukraine
And surely there are a couple of others I'm missing.
I struggle to see a reason as to why it's not available in, e.g., Serbia, where their legal risk is surely very low.
- rsynnott 3y agoAll of these besides Norway (Norway is, as an EEA state, subject to the GDPR) and Switzerland (whose relationship to the GDPR would be "it's complicated" on its Facebook page) are EU accession candidate states, so at least in principle should be moving closer to EU law.
