I suppose one day you'll find yourself in front of bunch of bitter pedants who are desperate to find any way not to be charitable, open-minded, or prosocial. I think a lot of folks would benefit from letting their initial reaction of kneejerk contrarianism float by un-acted upon, and practicing going "psychically limp," as a good friend of mine once put it. They might actually learn something.
