Don't forget that the Model S is over 10 years old now, excepting a refresh here and there and sales seem to be slumping year on year for a while now. The X isn't that old yet but it has a lot more competition now and quite low sales. I rekon the S is due for replacement anyway in the next few years, maybe with something that replaces both the S and X.
