I’ve made the argument that owning multiple properties should basically be completely untenable or outright illegal for many years but every time I bring it up, even the poorest people in the conversation decide that’s a bridge too far, like someday they’re going to have a beach house in Laguna. People in the US, at least, can’t stand the idea of not being allowed to own absolutely everything you want.
