in light of the recent ed sheeran/marvin gaye sampling issues that recently wrapped up: imagine the boon for creators to have AI create a marvin gaye track, then chopping up/sampling the good bits of that AI track, and rearranging into a soulful rap track. it wouldnt have to be a 10/10 AI execution. just good enough in spots to cut and paste. rap producers would save $$$. plus, near-infinite sampling real estate opened up. the gaye estate loses their future income stream, and i would assume open up new fields of legal prosecution concerning 'likeness'. id be more interested in what AI can do to old 70's standards like the O'Jays, Al Green....James Brown.....all of it.
