One thing I didn't take away from this is the extent to which gig workers they surveyed would prefer full-time employment but aren't able to find it. If someone has the opportunity to work full-time but is choosing the flexibility of gig work, then I see this as less of an issue. On the other hand, if someone is doing gig work because that is what is available to them, and they aren't able to make enough to get by despite their best effort, then something needs to change.
