Plenty of wind up North + Scotland - just no means to transport it over where the most demand is (the South).
- tialaramex 3y agoNot always. Often, but not always, and that's the problem. This afternoon for example, even off the East Coast of Scotland the wind was about as brisk as a stroll with your elderly grandmother. If you've got 10GW of wind turbines, but they're running at 5% output, that's 500MW, which isn't nothing but it's not even enough for Scotland.
