Not American, and I agree with mustacheempwror. Europe (mainly Germany and Hungary) trusting Putin was major blunder and mistake. This started with Koln, Schroeder, and eventually Merkel, which has a disastrous foreign policy track record. Corruption is probably at play as well, especially on the closure of the nuclear plants. Look at France, did manage to keep their plants in good order and now it produces most of their electricity form them.
