I asked how to change the variable block size in HashBackup (I'm the author) and it told me to use the -b option to the backup command and the default is 4K. However, the backup command does not have a -b option. It does have a -V option to set the variable block size. The default block size is never 4K for variable block size. Not so hot, especially the part about making up the -b option.
