Have you tried prompting it for "Dunning-Kruger effect"?
- deltree7 4y agoyes, most HNers are affected by it. That's why you see a massive anti-corp, anti-tech, anti-capitalist despite data screaming at them the massive benefits of tech, capitalism and corporation.
- shmoe 4y agoI believe one of it's defining features is that if you are experiencing the effect, only the people around you know it.
- yamtaddle 3y agoNot that that would, by definition, affect anyone possessing a near-perfect model of the universe.
- deltree7 3y agoyes, that's why I'm the one who is pointing the following trait to the HN crowd who are blissfully unaware of it -- "Irrationally Hating things / people that have provided net benefit to the society (utility, pension plans, 401(k)s, employee salary, productivity, standard-of-living)"
- shmoe 3y agoAnd it took years to get it with them kicking, screaming, and trying to take it away the entire time. Who has a pension plan these days?
- VirusNewbie 4y agoMy hunch is that’s a little less than half of HN posters. I notice that a lot on reddit and much less here.
