Nailed it. My main problem with living in houses built post-McMansion-influence (so, a great deal of what's been built for the last 25 years or so) is how terrible the layouts are. You'll have 3,500 sqft but it feels about as usable and spacious when you're actually living in it as a well-laid-out 2,200.
