Ask HN: What major(s) would you recommend to incoming freshmen?
- throwawaysalome 3y agoApplied math.
- jollyllama 3y agoChinese, Russian, Japanese
- r2_pilot 3y agoWhy not throw in studying history, with that list?
- jollyllama 3y agoThose languages are all pretty widely used From what I understand, history students are advised to focus closely on one area.
- sn9 3y agoPick something that's harder to learn outside of college than inside. Pick something you're actually interested in. Pick something you where you can articulate a path to financial security. Remember that double majoring, minoring, etc. are things if the above don't all point to one thing.
