- PaulHoule 3y agoI had a friend who has paranoid tendencies who was really agitated one day and talking about how “real” numbers weren’t real. Later on I found that Turing’s work on computation was motivated by the same line of thought. I thought he was nuts at first but then I got converted and gave up on the axiom of choice. I wish Steve Wolfram would grow some balls and realize his constructivist program should lead him to do the same. My friend unfortunately graduated to becoming a notorious conspiracy theorist.
