See my other comment for higher performance options you can order right now, including 4 core and 64 core processors with Arm A72-equivalents. SiFive is shipping a board with Arm A76-equivalent cores later in the summer. Ventana and MIPS have announced cores in Apple M1 class, and several other companies are known to be working on similar.
