The mushrooms are not suitable for human consumption, but in the process of breaking down the waste, the fungus destroys most pathogens present. Then you can use the spent mycelium as high grade garden compost, to be spread on the soil to enrich it.
- peteradio 3y agoWhat kind of guarantees are you making here? Can I half ass this half assed described process and expect to avoid all pathogens?
- 1827163 3y agoAs usual, it's bad wording there on my part. I'll update it to replace "any pathogens" with "most pathogens". Wait, I can make some more changes, but I'm so tired, having been in front of a computer almost continuously for more than 16 hours today.
