I suppose for a book like this (not having looked deep into it myself), you mostly need illustrative snippets of code that are largely self-contained, with the focus being on the algorithms, and so multiple dispatch doesn't really become necessary. Also, it's really cool that every page is downloadable as a Jupyter notebook (+ a PDF + markdown)!
