  Yet 'somehow' Meta is behind on AI according to the so-called overnight AI gurus and the ChatGPT hype squad sitting on someone else's API. Seems like almost everyone has forgotten about Meta AI research which will certainly help with their AR / VR efforts.

    Oh please, research means nothing in this context when you need to ship product and work on the dev and user experience.

      > Oh please, research means nothing… Absolute nonsense. It completely matters in this context. Surely you do realize without Google’s research into transformer models, ChatGPT, GPT-3, GPT-2 would not even exist in the first place. Meta has already shipped AI and computer vision enhancements in Oculus, Instagram, etc already and even their own AI tools are already used by many other AI companies. PyTorch is exactly that.
