- orasis 3y agoWhy regurgitate an obviously failed philosophy?
- renewiltord 3y agoThe thing that really gets me is that he wore button up shirts a lot. Look at where that got him. Dead in a shed from a fire that started from candles. I can't believe people still wear these.
- nvahalik 3y agoOddly enough, I think what he said still stands, but as one of the sibling comments points out, he didn't take his own advice. Simply knowing what's true, and teaching what is true, doesn't make you a true believer.

It only confirms my suspicion that a lot of pop psychology is written by people who are desperately trying to solve their own psychological issues and instead externalize them onto the rest of the world. I don't have undiagnosed mental illness that I'm "treating" with loads of drugs and alcohols. I just have to "find my purpose."
- abhiyerra 3y agoThere was also a part of the book where he found purpose being in a rave. Book sort of went off the deep end after that.
